Retainer Contract Terms

Our retainer program is a minimum 6-month commitment. You also have the option of a 12-month commitment. We re-evalute your account every 3 months. Additional fees apply to projects beyond scope. All invoices are payable monthly in advance by Direct Debit. Non-payment penalties apply. Unused retainer hours do NOT roll over. We are selective about the clients we work with on a retainer partnership.

Have you any experience in our industry?

Most probably, however the specific industry does not matter as we adapt our skills, research and process around your needs and objectives, until the problem has been solved.

Why do you charge £125 per hour?

There is a huge difference, in terms of quality and service, between working with a cheap designer and a reputable, experienced, graphic design agency such as Organised Confusion.

Professional graphic design is a multi-step process that involves consultations, research, brainstorming, sketches, several design concepts, revisions and much more. This is why graphic design costs can range widely, not only in price — from relatively free to hundreds of thousands of pounds — but the amount of time and effort needed to get the job done.

We take our agency seriously and therefore we are members of D&AD and the Design Business Association (DBA), which sets best-practice guidelines for professional design agencies. Our membership bans free pitching and sets the benchmark for our fees.

What is the client involvement in your process?

Each design project is a collaborative process between Organised Confusion and the client. Before we start to work with a new client, we encourage them to gather as much information as possible; any samples, colour combinations/swatches, and ideas they may have in order to help us get an idea of style and thier needs. During the design process, the client is asked to review, provide feedback and revisions.

Do you only work with the UK Public Sector?

No, we have a portfolio of Start-ups, SMEs and Multinational corporate clients operating across many business sectors! We take pride in our work and our ability to connect with diverse audiences across the private, voluntary and public sectors.

Can I receive a copy of my artwork files?

Yes, if you have paid for your project in full, you can request copy of your production-ready artwork.

What happens if I require more than 2 revisions?

You may have a team or partner which can sometimes lead to more than one vision. At times, you may have ideas that come to mind upon your discussions that come up mid-process. In that case, big changes may occur to the designs we’ve achieved thus far. If you require additional changes or concepts to create beyond the set amount of revisions – we charge an hourly rate of £125 per hour. This will be presented to you upon a discussion of the additional changes/designs requested for approval prior to proceeding those extra hours.

How long does a design take to complete?

Ultimately, the timeline for completion depends on the feedback and communication. Our graphic design process is both collaborative and creative, which does take time, but this is only because your vision is important to us and achieving what you will be proud of for your brand. That being said, our average graphic design projects take between 2-3 weeks from start to finish.

Will I own the copyright?

Yes, as you have commissioned us to create a design, on payment, the design and image belongs to you. If this is not paid for, the copyright belongs to Organised Confusion. LEGALLY, the original creator of any piece of art, which includes design, owns all copyrights to the art.
